A Lahore shadi can mean five functions in a week, three venues and more than 500 guests. As your wedding planner in Lahore, we run the dholki to the walima as one schedule with one team. You approve the plan on WhatsApp, and we handle the hall, the vendors and the timings.
A decorator builds a stage and leaves. A caterer serves food and leaves. Somebody still has to decide when the baraat arrives, when the nikah starts and who calls the generator man when the lights trip at 9 pm. In most Lahore families that job falls on a brother or an uncle, and he spends his own sister's wedding on the phone. We take that job.
Under Punjab's marriage functions law, halls serve one main dish and close at a set time, usually 10 pm. A Lahore wedding that ignores this ends with a rushed rukhsati or an overtime bill. We set the baraat arrival, rasams, photos and dinner against the closing time and share the timeline with your hall manager and caterer a week before.
We work with the hall, caterer and photographer you already booked, or bring our own. You keep control of the choices. We carry the work.
Most shadis in Lahore follow one of these patterns, and each needs a different plan.
Barats and walimas in marquees in DHA and on Raiwind Road, with room for big stages and long baraat entries.
Halls in Johar Town, Model Town and Allama Iqbal Town with fixed setup windows, in house catering and strict closing times.
Mehndis on Bedian Road farmhouses, and dholkis and nikahs at home in Gulberg, Model Town and Garden Town.
One side in Lahore, the other in Islamabad, Faisalabad or abroad, with guests driving in on the motorway.
Weather and the Islamic calendar shape every Lahore shadi.
The season opens with mild evenings, good for lawn mehndis. December halls and marquees get booked now. From November, smog can cut outdoor light, so evening lawn setups need extra lighting.
Peak season. Fog on the motorway can delay a baraat coming from another city, so we keep buffer time in the running order. Outdoor functions need heaters and side walls.
Warm days and busy weekends before the heat. Spring storms can hit marquees, so every outdoor plan has a covered backup.
Heat above 40 degrees and the July monsoon push weddings into air conditioned halls. Fewer weddings mean better rates and more dates.
Most families avoid Ramadan and the first ten days of Muharram. If your dates fall near them, we plan around them from the first call.
Book one, a few or all of them. Cards with their own page link to it.
Floor seating, a jhoola or takht, marigold and fairy light decor, a dholak corner and a dance floor. We plan the mehndi entry with the dhol, the song list with the DJ and the seating so elders are close to the stage but out of the dance floor.
The stage, the entrance and a baraat welcome with dhol and petals. We plan parking with the hall, time the entry so the photographer is in place, and set the nikah on the stage or in a side area if it is on the same night.
A nikah table, a floral canopy and family seating at home, in a mosque lawn or in the hall. We place a microphone for the maulana so the audio on the video is clean, and keep the nikah papers and witnesses on the timeline.
Softer florals, a clean stage and a family photo corner for the reception, with a calm running order and dinner timed well before the hall closes.
Stages, entrances, tables, bridal room and car decoration, in fresh or artificial flowers, designed as one look across all functions so the photos feel like one wedding.
A lead photographer and videographer for each function, female photographers for ladies functions on request, and a family photo list agreed before the day.
Menus within the one dish rule for halls, wider menus for homes and farmhouses, and a tasting before you book. We agree serving times and counters with the caterer.
Invitation cards in English and Urdu, a digital card with a map pin, cars for the baraat and rukhsati, and hotel rooms for guests coming from out of town.
Book any of these with your wedding, and one planner coordinates all of them on the same timeline.
Stage, flowers, entrance, table and room decor for weddings, birthdays and corporate events, designed as one look.
Photographers for every function, working to your running order with an agreed family photo list.
Wedding and event catering, BBQ, hi tea and live stations, with serving times planned into the event.
Lahore has hundreds of decorators and hall managers selling "complete wedding packages". Use these six checks to find the best wedding planners in Lahore for your family.
Ask how they handle the change from the mehndi to the barat the next day, including stage changes at the same hall.
Closing times and the one dish limit should shape their running order and menu without you raising them.
For the mehndi and bridal room many families want female coordinators and photographers.
Entry song, walk path, lights and the photographer position agreed before the night.
A separate quote for each function lets you cut one without guessing what changes in the rest.
Photos from every function of one real wedding, with a family you can call.
Put these to every planner on your shortlist and compare the answers.
| Ask this | A good answer | A warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| Will the same team work every function? | Yes, with the coordinator named for each night. | Different teams with no one in charge. |
| How do you handle the baraat arrival? | Dhol timing, parking, welcome and entry route planned with the hall. | "The hall will manage that." |
| What if the closing time is near? | Dinner and rukhsati set early, overtime agreed in writing. | A promise that the hall "never minds". |
| Can we see a full wedding you planned? | Photos from each function of one wedding. | Single setups from different events. |
| What is the cancellation policy? | Written terms for date changes and refunds. | Nothing written down. |
There is no fixed price for a Lahore wedding because no two are the same size. A small nikah at home and a 700 guest barat in a DHA marquee are different jobs. We quote each function separately in rupees, so you can see where the money goes and cut what you do not need.
To save, combine the nikah with the barat, hold the dholki at home, pick a weekday or a summer date, and reuse one stage frame across two functions. These things change the total most:
Many Lahore shadis are planned by families in the UK, the Gulf or Canada who land two weeks before the barat. We set the work up so you can approve everything from your phone.
When you land, the plan is ready. You only need to turn up for the dholki.
How we work: Dream Event Planners plans and runs your event. We bring trusted decorators, caterers, sound teams and photographers, or work with the ones you already booked, and one planner manages all of them against a written timeline. Read more about us.
A hall is simplest: fixed layout, parking and in house food, but a strict closing time. A marquee gives space for a big stage. A farmhouse suits a mehndi or walima on a lawn, but you bring in power, heaters and parking lights. Many families pick a farmhouse or home for the mehndi and a marquee for the barat.
In halls, Punjab rules allow one main dish with rice, naan, salad and a sweet. So the main dish has to be right. We help you choose one that suits the season and the guests, and plan wider menus for home and farmhouse functions where the rules differ. Check the current rule for your venue and date.
Four to six months ahead for November to February dates. Halls and marquees book first, then decorators and photographers.
Yes. Book one function or all of them. Each gets its own quote.
Yes, female coordinators and photographers for ladies functions and the bridal room, on request.
Yes. We share the timeline with them and plan the setup around what they need.
Every outdoor plan has a covered backup, a marquee with side walls or an indoor area, decided on the day from the forecast.
