Your shadi has five functions, three venues and a guest list that keeps growing. As your wedding planner in Islamabad, we run every function on one schedule with one team. Our office is in Gulberg Greens, close to the farmhouses, so winter dates can be locked in on a single call.
A decorator builds a stage and leaves. A caterer serves food and leaves. Somebody still has to decide when the barat arrives, when the rukhsati happens and who calls the generator man when the lights trip at 9 pm. In most Islamabad families that somebody is the bride's brother or father, and he misses his own sister's wedding. We take that job.
We plan the functions, book or coordinate every vendor, and run the day from a written timeline. What we don't do: push you into a package you don't need, or replace the caterer and photographer you already trust. You keep control of the choices. We carry the work.
Most shadis in the capital follow one of these patterns, and each one needs a different plan.
A mehndi or walima on a lawn in Chak Shahzad, Park Road or Gulberg Greens. Everything a hall provides has to be brought in: marquee, generator, washrooms and parking lights.
A barat or walima in a hotel ballroom or marriage hall. Fixed setup windows and closing times shape the whole plan.
Dholki, mayun and nikah in the house or on the rooftop in the F, E and G sectors, with neighbours a wall away.
One side in Islamabad and the other in Rawalpindi, Lahore or abroad, with guests travelling for the barat.
Weather and the Islamic calendar shape every shadi here. Plan around them and the day runs smoother.
The season opens with mild evenings, the best weather of the year for open lawn mehndis. Good farmhouses and hotel ballrooms for December get booked during these weeks.
Peak season. Nights in Islamabad drop close to freezing, so outdoor functions need gas heaters, covered seating and a marquee with side walls. Ramadan also falls in these months for the next few years, and most families pause weddings for it, which squeezes the dates on either side.
Pleasant days, but spring storms and hail arrive with little warning over the Margalla Hills. Every outdoor setup needs a covered backup ready to go.
Hot days and the July monsoon push weddings indoors, into air conditioned halls and hotels. Fewer weddings means better rates and a wider choice of dates.
Most families also avoid the first ten days of Muharram. If your dates fall near it, we plan around it from the first call.
Book one, a few or all of them. Where a service has its own page, the card links to it.
The stage is the backdrop for most of your photos, so we design it around the camera. Floral frames, fabric panels, the couple's sofa and a stage floor that matches the theme. In halls we work inside the setup window the manager gives us. At farmhouses and marquees we place the stage against the entry, the lights and where elders will sit.
The bridal room at home is the last setup of the day and the first photo of married life. Motia strings and roses on the bed, candles or warm lights, and a clean look that suits the room size. We time it so the room is ready before the rukhsati car leaves the venue, and we agree the key handover with the family.
Flowers on the bonnet, ribbons on the mirrors and a clear path for the rukhsati. We decorate sedans, SUVs and vintage cars, fix every piece so nothing flies off on the Islamabad Expressway, and finish the car near the venue so it arrives fresh. If the family is using a relative's car, we fit the decor without tape marks or scratches.
Fairy light canopies for marquees, warm uplights on farmhouse trees, lit entry arches and house lights for the whole shadi week. Islamabad winter evenings get dark soon after 5 pm, so lights carry most of the look at evening functions. We size the generator for the full load and keep a separate line for the sound system.
We line up photographers who work to your running order, not their own. The stage lights are set before the couple enters, the family photo list is agreed in advance, and the photographer knows exactly when the rukhsati happens. Already booked someone you like? We share our timeline with them so no moment is missed.
Highlight films, full coverage and drone shots where the venue allows them. Farmhouses in Chak Shahzad and Gulberg Greens suit aerial shots, while hotels and many parts of the city limit drone flights, so we check the rules before the day. We also place a mic for the nikah and speeches so the audio is clean.
Invitation cards in English, Urdu or both, with every function on one card or on separate inserts. We match the card colours to the decor, check the Urdu spelling of every name, and add a digital version for WhatsApp with a map pin, which saves guests from getting lost on the way to a farmhouse.
The caterer may come with the hall or be your own choice. Either way, we agree the serving time, the number of counters and the dessert setup with them in advance. At farmhouses we also plan the kitchen tent, water supply and waste. Dinner opens on time and the queue stays away from the stage.
Book any of these with your wedding, and one planner coordinates all of them on the same timeline.
Stage, flowers, entrance, table and room decor for weddings, birthdays and corporate events, designed as one look.
Photographers for every function, working to your running order with an agreed family photo list.
Highlight films, full coverage and clean audio for the nikah and speeches, planned with the photographer.
Wedding and event catering, BBQ, hi tea and live stations, with serving times planned into the event.
Marquees, shamianas, side walls, flooring, chairs and heaters for farmhouses, lawns and rooftops.
Speakers, mics, mixers and DJs for mehndis, qawalis and corporate events, with a technician on site.
Balloon arches, garlands, walls and ceiling balloons for birthdays, showers and corporate events.
House lights, fairy light canopies, stage lighting and uplights for shadi homes, marquees and halls.
Plenty of shadis in the capital are planned by families living in the UK, the Gulf or Canada who land two weeks before the barat. We set the work up so you can approve everything from your phone.
When you land, the plan is ready. You only need to turn up for the dholki.
How we work: Dream Event Planners plans and runs your event. We bring trusted decorators, caterers, sound teams and photographers, or work with the ones you already booked, and one planner manages all of them against a written timeline. Read more about us.
It depends on the number of functions, the guest count and the decor level. Planning one mehndi costs far less than running five functions across a farmhouse and a hotel. Send us your functions and guest count and we reply with an itemised quote in rupees.
A farmhouse gives space and privacy, but you bring in everything a hall already has. A hall or hotel is simpler and safer in winter rain. Many families pick a farmhouse for the mehndi and a hall for the barat.
Book three to six months ahead for dates between November and February. Farmhouses and hotel ballrooms for December weekends go first.
