What is the difference between an event planner and a decorator?
A decorator sets up the stage, flowers and lights. An event planner does the decor too, and also handles the timeline, vendors, guest flow and running order on the day.
What decides the cost of an event?
Guest count, venue type, number of functions, fresh or artificial flowers, and lighting make up most of the cost. Fresh flowers and large LED setups cost the most.
Should we pick fresh or artificial flowers?
Fresh flowers look and smell better in close up photos but cost more and wilt in summer heat. Artificial flowers cost less and suit large backdrops. Many setups mix both: fresh near the couple, artificial on the far walls.
Can you plan an event at short notice?
Often, yes. Small home setups can be arranged in a few days if flowers and furniture are available. Message us the date and we will tell you straight away.
On the day
When does setup start?
Home setups start the day before or on the morning of the event. Hall setups start when the hall gives access, usually a few hours before guests arrive.
What happens if it rains at an outdoor function?
Every outdoor event gets a covered backup, such as a marquee, canopy or indoor area. We decide on the day based on the forecast.
What about load shedding at a home event?
We bring a generator sized for the lights and sound, so the function carries on if the power goes.
Can we see the setup before guests arrive?
Yes. You get a mood board and layout with the quote, and we send photos of the finished setup before guests arrive so you can ask for changes.
Do you arrange photographers?
We can suggest photographers and videographers or work with the team you booked. The stage and lights are planned with photo angles in mind.
Who clears up after the event?
Our team takes down the decor and removes our items after the function, within the hall's closing rules.
